Alexandre Nicolas is SVP & Managing Director, North America of Linxon a joint Venture between ABB & SNC-Lavalin.

Mr. Nicolas joined ABB Power Grids in 2011. After gaining strong experience at Air Liquide Advanced Technology Solutions (France) in Business Planning for future technologies, he joined Areva Canada and Areva UAE as a Regional Director, leading Strategic Planning & Development of new markets.

He went on holding several key positions at ABB Power Grids. As Head of the Project Management Office – Canada, overseeing a large portfolio of FACTS, HVDC & High Voltage Cable Engineering Procurement & Construction projects. Then as Director, Operations HVDC North America, developing execution strategies targeting Operational Risk Management, optimizing mega project execution and performance.

Most recently Mr. Nicolas was Vice-President & General Manager EPC North America, where he worked on building the team and strengthening its positioning & competitiveness in the North American market. Maintaining the highest HSE and Quality standards while focusing on clients.

Mr. Nicolas, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Université de Sherbrooke, Canada, as well as a Master’s in Business & Management from the ISU, France & the University of South Australia.
